FRAMING THE PLASTER SHEET

You will need: A strong backing board, i.e., Mdf or cardboard, wallpaper adhesive or double-sticky tape, a brush, and a clean cloth.

If using a wallpaper adhesive:

  • Apply wallpaper paste on the backing board and place the plaster on top of it, aligning the edges.

  • Gently press the plaster against the board, paying attention to the sheet edges to make sure they align with those of the board.

  • If the plaster edges do not stick well, add extra paste between the sheet and the backing board and press the area with force for a few seconds.

  • When completed, remove excess paste from the edges.

If using a double-sticky tape:

  • Place the tape along the backing board edges and on the diagonal in the middle.

  • BEFORE you remove the sticky tape cover, place the plaster sheet on top of the backing board to check its position and align the edges.

  • When you’re happy with the plaster's position, lift the sheet at the top to partially remove the protective tape cover and press the plaster against the top edge. Don’t remove the tape all at once.

  • Lift the plaster sheet from the other side and slowly peel off the tape protective cover while pushing the plaster against the board.

  • Make sure the plaster edges align with the board. Always double-check to be safe!

Your plater texture is ready to be framed.
